Bhavna did an amazing job with my bridal henna!! She began with a zoom consultation weeks before my wedding. She showed me many different designs and allowed me to pick my design and also customized it. It was very nice to be able to see the exact design virtually! The day of the application, she came with all of her equipment and was very professional. She was so fun to talk to! Although my henna took about 6-7 hours, it flew by with ease because of how easy Bhavna was to talk to. I felt as if she was a friend and we were catching up. Her work is incredible and she pays attention to all details. My stain was also very dark. Everyone complimented by henna and I loved that I was able to put my own unique touch to it. Bhavna is the BEST person to book your bridal henna with in the DMV area!!

I couldn’t have dreamed of getting a better mehendi for my wedding, all thanks to Bhavna. From start to finish, it was extremely evident that this was not just a gig for Bhavna but her passion to use her art to bring one’s vision to life. Bhavna scheduled a design consultation a month in advance and I didn’t quite know what to expect as I knew in my head what I wanted but translating that in words seemed daunting. Bhavna is a wiz with her design tools and she quickly started mocking up what I wanted with such speed and accuracy that I just stared in astonishment. She incorporated all the personal touches we wanted i.e. our Mt Everest base camp hike, portraits of the bride and groom holding wine glasses.

The day of mehendi, Bhavna came prepared with a trunk load of accessories to ensure I was as comfortable as possible during the 7 hour henna application. Back cushions for comfort, knee rest, you name it, Bhavna has got it to make sure you feel like a queen on your henna day. She even got a tiny gift for my mom, which was so incredibly sweet. I don’t know where the time went as Bhavna and I chit chatted for 7 hours. Bhavna also brought homemade balm for after care for henna which was excellent and smelled HEAVENLY. Honestly, run and book her for your wedding.

She is a gem of a person and this will be the best decision you make. Our wedding guests, family and friends could not shut up about how intricate, beautiful and delicately done the designs were.

If I could give Bhavna more stars, I would! She did such an amazing job with my henna and it turned out so beautiful and dark. Bhavna not only showed utter professionalism in her work and days leading up to it, but she also was so personable and made the experience worth it. Let me start off with saying that about a month and half before my wedding week, she did a consultation call with me to go over hundreds of designs to choose from, in addition to adding my own personal touches in there. Then on my mendhi ceremony day, she made sure I was at ease and comfortable throughout the entire 7+ hours. Bhavna added her own personal touch by bringing a gift for my mom and myself AND an aftercare kit for my henna which included a wrap. a balm that she made herself, gloves and step by step instructions. They were super easy to follow! My wedding was 2 days from my event and the henna became darker than ever after only 1.5 days. It remained just as dark for another (almost) 2 weeks after that which was when it slowly started fading. The first 2 photos (in the pink dress) are on the day I got my henna, the next photo is on my wedding day 2 days later (very dark and beautiful!) and the last photo is when my husband and I went to the Shaadi Showcase to give Bhavna a gift 2 days after my wedding (4 days after henna application). The photo is a bit blurry but you can still see how dark it is! I highly recommend you follow the aftercare kit as it does help with keeping the henna as dark as possible and makes it last longer too. Bhavna mentioned that she sources the henna from a very specific region in India which also tells me how passionate she is about her work. She is definitely a perfectionist and will make sure the bride is pampered before the wedding. After my mendhi, Bhavna did my family's and guest's mendhi too and left everyone with smiling faces all around.
