Laali was founded by Shazia Ijaz and Priyanka Agarwal in 2024. The two met in the Bay Area through a Little Brown Diary Facebook group—a fitting start for a company dedicated to helping South Asian women! After connecting over the painstaking process of planning a desi wedding in America, (so painstaking that Priyanka decided it would be easier to have her wedding in India than in California), they knew they had to build a solution together.

The heart and soul of Laali are its users: the brides, grooms, parents, and vendors who come together to create beautiful celebrations of love. Laali was founded with the idea that every moment of these celebrations should be joyous, including each step of planning your dream wedding.
