The area is kind of sketchy, but the food was very tasty and the service was also great! They also use the Too Good To Go App that allows you to purchase surprise side dishes for later pickup at a reduced price with pretty large portions which is great!

Google maps doesn't do the best of job to get you to the entrance, but once you see the Indian Cuisine restaurant, your pretty much beside(directly next to) the Chennai Chettinaad Palace. I kind of think it's in the same building because if you park on one side the door is locked and has a sign indicating to customers to use the other door, I literally walked on the patio from the locked door to the side and into the front door to access the main entrance, but once I was inside it looked like the same building.

My wife and I went to Chennai Palace for lunch . We originally came for the buffet, which is only available on the weekends now. They still have really good Indian food. We had the boneless Chicken Biryani #210 and the Aloo Gobi Masala #161, a vegetarian dish made with potatoes and cauliflower, which is my wife's favorite. My only complaint is that the Biryani didn't have a lot of chicken, but the flavor profile was good, and their garlic Naan is the best. The service was a little slow, but they only had one waiter working by himself, so it didn't bother us. We both used to be in the restaurant business . We will have to come back on the weekend for the buffet. l remember it being very good. I always look for a good deal, so a Groupon is available to save money, but it's not good on the weekend.

I don’t know what the negative reviews are about. I’ve been here multiple times over the course of a year or so and have great experiences every time. The food to cost ratio is spot on - a good sized meal for a reasonable cost.

The food is consistently amazing. I won’t go anywhere else for Indian around the area. To the people saying it was “too hot/spicy”- it’s Indian food. It’s spicy. If you don’t like spice, order something else or go somewhere else.

The service is always spot on. Zero wait on getting a table or when I go to pick up an order. Wait staff is super attentive for drink refills and prompt with food.

The atmosphere is exactly what you would expect at a family run restaurant. Chill and with music videos/shows playing on the TVs in there.

I can’t recommend the place enough.

First time customer to try the lunch buffet. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly and engaging. Great variety of vegetarian options. Excellent naan bread made fresh in their tandoori oven. Can’t wait to return for more delicious dishes.
