There really are no words to describe the absolute magic that the Eichars captured for us during our engagement, wedding, and maternity shoots. The bond we’ve built is the best part - it didn’t feel like we had a client/vendor relationship, but a deep meaningful friendship. Lauren is such a gem; she is like a warm hug that just makes you feel so comfortable no matter the setting. She listens and brings what you envision beautifully into reality. Hands down the best decision we made to go with the Eichars and if I could, I’d have them for every future photo session. No exaggeration. Lauren and Jamie Eichar are amazing professionals and humans to work with! They shot photo and video for our non-traditional two-day Indian wedding celebrations, and we couldn’t have made a better choice. We chose them because they somehow manage to strike the right balance of documentation and artistry for every client, and we were no exception. We absolutely love all the photos and videos they captured, true to their advertised styles and past work. One priority for us was capturing a lot of great guest photos (one of the best gifts you can give your guests, we think), and the Eichar team absolutely delivered!

We customized the Eichar “weekend package” to the right number of hours and shooters (1-2 for photo, 1-2 for video) for each event. We also did a couple photoshoot with Lauren (at the beach - she knows good spots!) before the wedding events, which was really helpful for getting used to posing and being comfortable in front of the camera. We also want to shout out Jamie for working out and adapting the best sound capture setups for our very widely varying performances — from a cappella to acoustic guitar to big group dances to DJ music. They were very patient with us during moments of stress, and balanced the “hey, let’s step away to shoot a little” well with letting us enjoy our celebrations. They are familiar with many Bay Area venues and can handle all kinds of weird lighting situations (in our case, dappled redwood forest lighting). They’ve also covered many Indian weddings in the past, and we and our families appreciated how culturally-aware and generally thoughtful they were throughout. Definitely recommend!

Hiring Lauren and Jamie as our photographer/videographer duo was easily the best decision we made for our wedding. Lauren and Jamie were incredibly responsive, kind, transparent, and communicative throughout the wedding planning process.

My now husband and I are very camera shy, and Lauren and Jamie guided us in making sure we were comfortable in front of the camera on our wedding day. When we got the pictures and videos back, we were floored -- Lauren is an expert of capturing all of the candid, emotional, and beautiful moments of the day, and Jamie's videography made us feel like we were in a Hollywood movie! Lauren and Jamie are the best photographers and people!! Considering how much of our wedding day we would spend with our photographers, it was important to us that we felt comfortable and actually had fun with them. Lauren and Jamie more than deliver in this area, bringing fun and positive energy while also keeping things relaxed and comfortable. Beyond that, the final product of the photos is something we will cherish forever. The pictures are beautiful and also feel unique and special to us as a couple. They didn’t bat an eye at hiking >1 mile on Ring Mountain after our ceremony to get the perfect shots and we loved laughing and chatting with them throughout. They somehow managed to be incredibly professional and organized while also making us feel like we were old friends. Out of all of my vendors they are the ones I recommend the most as I cannot imagine our day without them.

Jamie and Lauren are AMAZING. They are not only incredibly talented photographers but also are amazing people. They are so kind, thoughtful, caring, and exactly the type of people you want around you on your wedding day. They went out of their way to coordinate last minute changes in plans and made me feel completely at ease all day. We had so much fun shooting with them both on our wedding day and for our engagement shoot, and could not have asked for better photographers. The photos we got from our day were absolutely stunning and perfectly captured every moment. We will cherish our wedding photos forever and are so glad that we hired the Eichars.
