Perfect way to cool down during this hot summer heat! Staff was awesome and super nice about letting us try different types of ice cream. They had an amazing selection and great toppings. I would come back here again and again if I lived in NY.

Best ice cream ever!! The Masala Chai is absolutely fantastic! My husband got the mango & cream that was amazing as well! Must try if you’re in the area!

Malai on Smith Street is my happy place. Their chai ice cream? Pure magic. The seasonal soft serves? Always a fun surprise. Pro tip: my toddler never finishes a scoop, so I just get him an empty cone—he’s thrilled, and I get more ice cream for me. Win-win 🍦✨

The flavors here are really interesting, and they have a well-stocked freezer of pints (in flavors that aren't available for scooping) and pops. I've been here twice and the texture of the ice cream is usually a little icy/crumbly. I did get a scoop sea salt vanilla that was perfectly smooth and delicious. If all their flavors could match that texture, I would easily upgrade to 5 stars.

Amazing spot! First time stopping in and will definitely be back. Dominique and Shy were amazing. Super patient and guided me through all the flavors. Somebody needs to give them a raise. I ended up going with the rose.
