If you're a bride that doesn't have a lot of experience with makeup but still want to look like the best version of yourself on your wedding day, Sana is the person for you! She was my MUA for all three events of my wedding and her team helped make the moms and sisters look fabulous, too.

Two standout examples:

1) She really works with what she's given - whether that's a fully fleshed out look or a half baked idea. In particular, I really struggled with what I wanted to do with my reception hair, and what she came up with was absolute perfection.

2) She really builds trust and makes you feel like you're teammates. She carefully examined my outfits and came up with suggestions but always made sure I felt comfortable. By the time my reception came around, I was so happy to let her experiment and the final outcome was my best look according to my mom.

Hi all!! I just hired SKS for my wedding hair and makeup and want to leave a detailed review.

Pros: Sfa was a WONDERFUL artist to work with. She spent hours on the trial to ensure some aspects I was more particular about looked as I would want them to look. (I’m very particular about my eye makeup for example.) that day the makeup didn’t sit super well on my skin due to just lots of change/trying different things etc but the day of the trail felt SO worth it. I even emailed her a primer I know had worked on my skin and they made sure to have it available for me which was extremely kind. The day of, I just got to enjoy and she executed my looks perfectly. I didn’t even do a hair trial and she made both of my looks absolutely stunning. Overall I’m just soooo happy with how I looked. It was glowy, natural, and just I felt very pretty. Sfa is also super kind.

Cons: unfortunately I felt at many times their pricing & communication was not clear. There were travel fees for each artist but not mentioned when I asked about how we would handle if we needed more artists to do my bridesmaids hair/makeup, $30 for extension installation— this was in the contract at least but again not mentioned in the conversations when I asked are there any other fees to expect or how do extensions work before I asked to have the contract drawn up, there was an extra travel fee for a second look— again this wasn’t disclosed any of the times I talked to them about pricing pondering a second look for the reception.

All in all, I think their communication/ pricing transparency can def be improved as a business. A lot of these costs do make sense so I won’t bash them for having the cost as many other local HMU artists will do the same. Disclosing it tho in the beginning so it’s not a surprise/ stress in the last two weeks would have made my experience so much better.

Sfa though as an artist was great and the day of I was just SO happy!! Thank you SKS for making us look gorgeous 💕

SKS Salon did an excellent job doing hair and makeup for my bridal party and family! They tailored each look perfectly to each lady and even accommodated the use of personal makeup items for those who felt more comfortable using their own products. Every single look was stunning and my family and friends felt beautiful and pampered!!

SKS Salon did a great job providing makeup and hair for myself, my mom, MIL, and bridesmaids for both the wedding ceremony and reception. Sana was very personable and her team was easy to work with. I had a little trouble with clear communication initially, but overall I was really satisfied with their work the day of, and I would definitely recommend them!
