Taste of Mumbai is a true gem in Seattle! The ambiance feels like a cozy slice of Mumbai, with vibrant decor and Bollywood tunes that set the mood. The staff was friendly and attentive, always ready to help with recommendations.

We were pleasantly surprised by the portion sizes – so generous that we ended up taking some home in boxes. The food was flavorful, authentic, and perfectly spiced, and it was prepared quickly without compromising on taste. Surprisingly, the restaurant was completely empty at 5 p.m., so we had the whole place to ourselves.

If you’re looking for authentic Indian cuisine with heart and flavor, this spot is a must-try. Will definitely be coming back!

I went out for lunch here and I didn't really enjoy the food. A lot of the flavours felt off as did the textures. When comparing this dining experience to other Indian restaurants, I personally felt that they didn't have enough flavour. The dosa's were also soggy which I find really odd. The staff were friendly, but the food itself is not good and not worth the pricing. I personally wouldn't recommend them.

Today we had the worst experience in the Seattle area at one of the Indian buffets. First, they put a rice bowl in front of us even before we finished our appetizers. It was highly uncomfortable to read the names of the dishes because they were handwritten on a small note. We started with the tandoori chicken, which was not even warm. We had never seen cauliflower in tandoori chicken before; it was our first time. Now it was time for the main course: Goat Curry and Kadhai Chicken, both of which had a watery consistency. In fact, the goat meat had a rubbery texture; I took it out of my mouth and put it on my plate. The naan bread also seemed to be store-bought. Lastly, we tried the dessert, which was highly disgusting. I tasted the rice kheer, which had a tangy taste. I thought there was something wrong with my palate, but I asked my husband to taste it, and he confirmed that it was either stale or something was wrong with it. Thank God I didn't feed that kheer to my toddler. $21 each plus tax is not worth it at all. What we liked was the Gobhi Manchurian, one of the fish dishes, and the tea, but paying buffet rate for three dishes is not worth it.

We had a delightful dining experience at this restaurant. The food was excellent, and the ambiance was pleasant. The Afghani Chicken was particularly delicious, and the Sambar was equally tasty. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. Our server, Laxman, was exceptional. Despite the sudden rush, he maintained a cheerful disposition and kept us informed about the status of our orders.

Have eaten at this place a few time- both in restaurant and take out. Today’s take out was disappointing: not in flavor, but portion size. When I opened my bag at home I was shocked to see how small the portions were- and they were not filled to the top. In the past, portions have always been a decent size. I ordered two items (a curry and saag) and both were very small. I had planned to make two meals out of this based on past portion size, but was unable to this time. Plus, with tax and tip, my two entrees (with nothing else) cost almost $50! Would not be upset at the cost had portions been more reasonable in size. I have overall enjoyed the flavor and variety of food here, but will reconsider ordering in the future since sizes have seemed to decrease quite a bit.
