Hindi/Tamil/Bengali/Punjabi Wedding Songs Your DJ Missed?

Hey everyone! I'm working on our wedding DJ playlist and realizing I can't assume even South Asian DJs will know everything we want. 😅 What were the songs you had to explicitly request because your DJ didn’t have them in their default library? I'm looking especially for: - Tamil intro songs for groom/bride - Old school Bengali bangers - Underrated 2000s Bollywood - Punjabi NON-dance songs (think ceremony background) Please drop what you had to ask for so I don’t miss anything! Will share my final list after too ❤️

DJ played the SAME 3 Sidhu Moosewala songs until I begged for "Madhaniya" 😭 had to spell it out. Not everything needs a drop lol.

Mine didn’t have ANY MS Viswanathan classics. Had to beg for "Ponaal Pogattum Poda" (my dad’s request). They ended up pulling it from YouTube Audio 😩

Not sure if this helps but I had to specifically request "Mangalyam Thanthunanena" for the thali tying moment. They didn’t even know what it was!

Just here to say you deff need to request "Raabta" (slow version) early if it’s on your list. Somehow every DJ plays the remix instead!!

groom's fam wanted "Mehndi Hai Rachnewali" instrumental & our DJ had no clue – ended up pulling it off a random mp3 site 💀 so def add that if ur fam’s big on traditions

For food walk-in we used this slow Punjabi song called "Heer" by Harshdeep Kaur. Gorgeous. No one had it, we had to bring our own USB.

"Kahin Toh Hogi Woh" was a must for our sibling dance & had to triple check they didn’t mess it up w/ the remix. Put your exact version in a doc!

@Priya for Bengali bridal vibes I’ve seen "Mon Majhi Re" used beautifully. You might like that!

As a DJ/photographer pls pls give your version links in a Google Sheet. Don’t trust Spotify titles alone. Things get mislabeled.

@anon preach. Also double check lyrics before approving any random remix. One of ours had an awful English verse added in.
