You deff should check out Nazranaa in NJ, they're even responsive when you reach out through their Laali page. They had more range than I expected! My sister’s a size 16 and they were actually open to customizing blouses instead of just giving a wraparound dupatta and calling it modesty 😑

I HIGHLY recommend @lacheelaclothing on Instagram. She actually posts real clients, not just size 2 models. I got mine custom-dyed and the inner lining was so comfy, zero scratch factor. And she ships!

i feel u. mine was stitched by a local aunty here in IL using fabric from india—cost me less than $250 total. i got to tweak neckline, sleeve length, and even the flare width. def not for folks who want heavy embroidery but for a clean classic look it worked.

@AnmolB curious—did your seamstress work with net fabrics or only silks/cottons? I’m considering the DIY route too but don’t want to risk something too sheer.

@Simran she was okay with net but warned it needs full lining and can’t be too tight or it'll pull! she double-layered mine w/ satin underlayer. if u go this route, just buy a bit extra fabric so the seamstress can play w/ it.
