We ordered the India Feast for Two, which offered a generous and well-rounded sampling of the menu. It began with a fresh salad and hot soups. I had the corn soup, which was light and comforting, while my husband had the manchow, which was flavorful with a satisfying kick.

The main course included rice, dal, chicken tikka masala, and a mixed tandoori grill. The standout was the grilled tandoori chicken, perfectly smoky, tender, and full of depth. It brought a distinctive flavor that truly set it apart. The other components were enjoyable, though more classic in presentation and taste.

The ambiance was warm and inviting. We were seated in a semi-private booth, which made for a relaxed dining experience where we could enjoy conversation without distraction.

A great spot for both a quiet evening out and a deeper exploration of Indian cuisine. Would return for the tandoori alone ❤️

I had high hopes going to this restaurant but left with disappointment.

Tldr: Overpriced, Lack of flavour, poor service, low portion quantity, excellent ambience. Chinese dishes were okay.

Given the ratings on google I decided to try this restaurant out, I ordered kadai paneer, dal makhni, butter naans, Manchow soup, chilli and garlic noodles. When the food arrived at the table it felt like everything was thrown at the table. They served the soup and other things ordered at once. The manchow soup was served without fried noodles, I wanted to ask a server about it and getting hold of a server felt like another task, not because it was busy because they were not paying attention. I looked at few tables it looked like the same story on every table. Coming to food, the food lacked any flavour Chilli garlic noodles was good but the dal makhni and kadai paneer was bad as they lacked any flavour.

Coming to service the servers are not paying attention to customers, no follow ups. Had to wait a lot to get someones attention. Coming to ambience, it was excellent really loved it. Its a nice and cozy place to have date night.

Overall Left with disappointment.

Fantastic Indian buffet in the heart of Chicago! ❤️ 🍝🍲🥗🍛🍚🍱🍧🍨🥂🍻 The buffet is truly impressive with a great balance of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. We started with masala dosa and hot sambhar, plus aaloo samosa paired with fresh mint and tamarind chutneys — perfect starters.

There’s a great variety of salads, and the main courses were just as satisfying — loved the dal makhni, dry potato vegetable, and especially the paneer makhni. The tandoori chicken is served hot at the buffet with naan and butter, which was a standout. Don't miss the sides like raita, and for dessert, the fresh mango ice cream, rasmalai, and gulab jamun were heavenly.

The service was attentive, the food fresh and flavorful, and the overall vibe very welcoming. Will definitely be coming back! The staff were courteous and attentive, always making sure everything was stocked and guests were comfortable. The management clearly takes pride in maintaining high quality — from the freshness of the food to the cleanliness of the space. You can really feel the hospitality throughout the experience.

We had a wonderful experience! The entire team is attentive and genuinely cares about your dining needs. Rosa, in particular, was incredibly helpful and always ready to assist. The food was absolutely delicious—especially the lunch buffet, which was full of mouthwatering options. What truly stood out, though, was the personal touch and warmth shown by the team. It made the experience feel special and memorable!

This was our 5th time dining at The INDIA HOUSE during our week-long staycation in Chicago — and we absolutely loved it every single time! Among all the Indian restaurants in downtown Chicago, this one truly stands out. The food, service, and overall experience are consistently exceptional. Highly recommended!

I had a wonderful time with my husband for his birthday dinner. So delicious and the menu was amazing with so much to offer. Authentic Indian and Indian/Chinese infusions. Highly recommend for all! We enjoyed Jose, our server, and the Hakka specialties and Tandoori Sizzling Platter to start with on the menu.

Unbelievable diamond among fusion cuisines. Never ever before I went to restaurant which offers Indian and Chinese authentic cuisine at an unbelievable levels. My tase buds got a party and I enjoyed every single minute from atmosphere to drinks. Go, please go and dine with them!
