About
I was disappointed with Ammar and Nutrend. The main reason I chose Nutrend was because I found Ammar to be easy to access and they were not only willing to build pieces that I was wanting for my event, but wanted to because “if they didn’t have them, then this is probably new to the area.” I had went ahead and made him a document with that detailed the theme, colors, and items I wanted custom built (aisle and stage) with reference pictures. I also liked how Ammar was willing to be very detailed in our contract. It made me feel like I could trust him and the company.
The problems arose on our first planning meeting. Ammar didn’t send my Zoom link until 13 minutes before our call despite me texting and asking him for the link the day before. Because of his delay, my family was unable to join in and see his inventory. I found that to be odd considering how organized he was a few months ago but just thought that was a one time incident. It was not. For the following months, my MIL, who was planning my Mendhi, and I were left on read by Ammar for weeks on end. I ended up having to dm their instagram account twice because I could not reach my decorator in any capacity. A week before the events, he called me and we chatted for a minute before he told me he had to leave the call and would call me back immediately. He never did despite me texting him multiple times that day. He only seemed to reach out when there was a payment due. The only things I knew for certain were the items that discussed in our meetings that were already in his inventory (linens, couch, table centerpieces). I was not updated on the custom items at all but I still had trust in him because their Instagram page was so beautiful.
When the events did roll around, that was a different story. On the Mendhi night, the vinyl sticks were placed sloppily and were wrinkly. On the shaadi day, I was shocked to see a very underwhelming stage and aisle that I paid thousands for. They looked like the wish version of my inspiration pictures. The metal structure looks like a cardboard cutout and the flowers did not go as high as the reference photo. Also, there was no chandelier. The aisle was a complete dud. I had sent Ammar photos of the scale I wanted along with clear inspiration photos. Not only were the “trees” smaller than I wanted, the color and lighting was off. The colors of the silk florals were also off. Despite having reference photos of the him detailed photos of exactly the yellow, red, peach, blue, orange, purple and pink color scheme, the colors on the stage were simply red, pink, white and purple. I had also specifically requested stairs on either side of my stage and there was only stairs on one side along with the front. Lastly, I had asked and reminded him to have a vase with water for my bouquet to sit in and he did not have it despite telling me he would.
Ammar does have some cool inventory but the lack of communication, sloppy work, and high price tag make him and Nutrend someone I would not recommend working with for your big events. Let’s just say that I am not shocked to hear that Nutrend is not Ammar’s main job.
I have attached my inspiration photos vs what I received the day of my event along with screenshots of me attempting to reach Ammar.
Extremely glad that we found Nu Trends and Tasneem for our big day! Tasneem made both of us feel welcome and at ease from our very first phone call through every meeting up until the week of the wedding. She went above and beyond (literally!) to make sure we were happy every step of the way. We came in with very little understanding of what all we needed and what we liked but with Tasneem’s help and vision we were able to have our dream decor and florals for our wedding.
Tasneem is extremely patient (through our millions of phone calls, texts, and questions), helpful (we had changes even up to two weeks before the wedding that she found a way to work with), and creative (she took the basic vision we had and created a beautiful space for our wedding ceremony and reception as well as bouquets and boutonnieres).
We got so many compliments from friends and families alike at the wedding and after! At some point during the night we also heard someone say our wedding was their Pinterest board brought to life.
We cannot begin to explain how grateful we are for Tasneem and her team for helping us truly enjoy and cherish our big day. We would recommend Nu Trends to anyone for any occasion!
Pictures attached to show off just how beautifully executed the decor and florals were! :)
My event was delayed by hours because of the NuTrend. Guests had to wait outside for hours because the decorators were still setting up past 8pm and we didn’t get family photos because of this. My bride started crying when she saw the decor wasn’t what she chose. Just overall horrible experience for our wedding.
We are very very disappointed! Bait n Switch! Horrible service didn’t finish decor on time even though the venue had given them 3 days to decorate. We had 2 weddings back to back and both pathetically done. Decor items were not what we selected, floral arrangements were sloppy; plus extremely Untidy work, our guest had to wait as it was unfinished. Couldn’t even take family pics as there wasn’t enough time left and bride and grooms mood was ruined. Ammar was no where to be found even after the event planner repeatedly called. These are once in a lifetime event please DO NOT risk it with nu trend. Had to give 1 star as it wouldn’t let me post the review

DO NOT TRUST THEM!! Not only did my guests wait more than 3 hours outside because the decorators came late, BUT IT WAS THE WRONG DECOR. The things I was most excited to see were not even there, it was switched out with different decor. It was so heartbreaking. I couldnt even get family pictures because they were decorating the stage and hall until 8:15!!!! They had from 8am but started at 3pm knowing my ceremony started at 5. They didnt finish putting flowers on the backdrop and just left them on the floor, and you can see it in the pictures i posted, theres more flowers on the ground than the backdrop. Ammar was nowhere to be found, and he stopped responding to my family’s messages. The main chandeliers on the stage were wrong and broken, the stage canopy that we paid thousands extra for was just an arch and didnt cover the stage like he said it would. I chose the tree arches with lights for aisle decor and they just ziptied some sticks together instead. The canopies over the head tables were made too small and placed horizontal, blocking seats. I have a picture that shows how empty the canopies were and you can see the wires on top. They left a couch from the previous wedding in the corner of the room and my family had to move it out. They put twigs on tables and called it centerpiece decor. Just really bad.
