Horrible customer service and accountability of ensuring customers get what they paid for. To stitch a saree blous for 65.00 the customer has the right to get what they want for such important events. The saree blouse was big and tassles were added that do not even match the colors of the blouse. Never going back to their establishment again and I will warn my many friends of my negative experience.
The outfits are gorgeous not going to lie but they are not budget friendly! If you have less than $300 they won’t even assist you. You need over $500 to be shopping in the store. And even $500 will be for a light semi heavy outfit that you won’t really like! It’s annoying but this is the reality in majority of the Indian/Pakistani stores in Devon. And bridal clothes, don’t even get me started. They are too over priced! If I had the opportunity to go to Hyderabad I’d go there and buy all of the clothes in a heartbeat. But I had a short time and obviously not everyone can travel just for clothes. The clothes are pretty but like i said, if your conscious is fine with dropping over $1200-$3000 on an outfit you will wear for one day... that’s your desire.
This is the WORST place to shop!!! If I could give them negative 5 stars, I would. They were behaving rudely with me the moment I stepped in the store. Sales woman was acting lazy to show me their saris. She Gave us rude and insulting comments multiple times. After all of that, I was desprate to buy a sari that day, so I picked a sari that I liked. It needed the blouse to be stitched. I suggested that I would make half payment and would pay the rest when I picked up the blouse, in order to ensure it got stitched in time and blouse fit the way it was supposed to. The sales woman completely flipped out.. started yelling and made a huge commotion. I was STILL desperate to buy something because I really didn't have any time to shop anywhere else. So I agreed to pay full price up front. I told the saleswoman I would be right back as I needed to take out some extra cash from the atm. when I came back to the store, and as I handed them the money, she outright refused to stitch my blouse for me.... she demanded full payment, and no blouse!! What kind of store refuses a sale!?!? Moral of my long story is. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE. SINGLE WORST STORE ON DEVON!!!
We had a terrible experience with Taj Sari Palace. We had bridesmaid saris ordered in October 2013, and everyone was fitted by December 2013. The wedding is in a few days now in late February, and after numerous phone calls and visits to the shop in the past 2 weeks, Taj Sari Palace still has not fulfilled the order. They have been difficult to get a hold of, and often, the manager is not available. Every time we called, they told us that the order would be ready in the next 2-3 days; however, we've been told this about three times, and each time, they were not able to explain the delay or status of the shipment. They actually tried to make the excuse that the fitting was done too late, when the original agreement and the website clearly states that the order would be ready in 4-6 weeks. It has been nearly 8 weeks now.
We did eventually get just one sari for the matron of honor, but it did not fit her appropriately. And now it is too late to fix it. We're now worried if the bridesmaid saris will even fit the others even if they do arrive on time.
I just called again to request the status of the bridesmaid saris, and again, they stated it would be here in about 2-3 days (this would be about 2 days before the wedding). I asked what they would do for us if the order was not ready by then, and they had no suggestions, and when I asked to speak to the manager, they hung up on me.
I do not recommend Taj Sari Palace at all.

I feel the need to write about my experience for others to know. My family and I just ordered over $2000.00 dollars worth of clothes for a special event. We bought 2 sarees, two children’s outfits, and needed two plain sari blouses tailored. We purchased our outfits in Mid March of 2022. The lady, I believe who was called Seema, asked us to write our phone number, names and would give us a call in about two weeks for our blouses to be tailored. We never heard back after two weeks. The number on google was attempted by three of us several times a week. At times we were directed straight to voicemail or the call storage was full. Finally, I went in yesterday. April 28, to find out what was going on. When I gave my name and purchase items, a woman said “oh it will be another 2-3 days for our purchases”. I demanded to speak to someone and finally another woman recognized me and pulled out two bags with our clothes ready for pick up. I asked why did no one call us. I was asked if I gave our number. I stated that this information was given to them. We attempted many calls, left messages and/or did not get to a voicemail. Another woman came by and asked what number I used and I showed the number on google and she stated, “oh okay” and walked away. None of the staff seemed alarmed or bothered that they were in the wrong. I am not one to write a review at all but I felt very compelled to let others know of my negative experiences. I feel that this store overpriced the sarees. It was my choice to buy at the end of the day. However, I am beyond livid at their customer service. No one admitted they either forgot or lost our information 2) they also did NOT tailor my blouse the way I asked - I asked for a cap-sleeved sari blouse and they did sleeves and they added a tassle. I did not want any tassles. The business practices here ruined my experience for my event. I spent too much money on a sari that wasn’t worth that amount and they tailored my blouse the opposite of what I wanted. Also, none of the staff remedied anything. All they did was say sorry over and over with no remorse. Horrible customer service. I will end by saying there are really nice outfits in this store but their attitude and service is not worth it.
