About
Shoutout to Noor and her brother for the excellent experience our family had here at Roots. The food wan fantastic on all counts, the butter chicken, lamb curry, the Tandoori Chicken, and their Naan was all fantastic. Would 100% recommend!
First time in LA & they for sure made my experience pleasant . Manasa was so sweet and even gave me a complimentary dessert that was delicious! The food was made quick and with love . The food was definitely a 10/10 . They also play a variety of different music which was cool as well. Whenever I visit again I’ll surely stop by !
What a gem. I am a huge curry fan and was excited to try this place given it has such good reviews. I completely understand why. The flavor was tremendous and everything was so fresh and tasty. I ordered the Nirvana with chicken and my friend got the biryani. Spice devel is decent but very manageable. The food came quick and the server even hooked us up with a little dessert on the house, with a small message in Danish for us (they must have grasped out nationality when they checked our ID for ordering drinks. An absolute food highlight in LA!
We were craving Indian food and found Roots Indian Bistro on Google. With 6K plus reviews of a 4.9, we thought we’d give it a try. We parked on the side of the street and paid the parking meter. We paid $1 per hour on a Friday afternoon so not bad at all. Inside the restaurant, we were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and trendy decor. We ordered the Melrose Mayhem for 2. It included samosas, Naan, Butter Chicken, Lamb curry, rice, and curry vegetable side dish. Everything tasted absolutely delicious and the seasoning was on point!!! The service was super friendly and we both want to come back and bring our family! This place is a must eat when you have a hankering for Indian food!!!

One of the finest Indian restaurants I’ve come across in L.A. Every dish is unique and carefully prepared, with the owner personally involved in the kitchen—honoring their roots and the belief in feeding people with love and passion.
We walked in last minute on a Saturday evening without a reservation and waited about 20 minutes for a table 🙈, but it was absolutely worth it. Every dish we tried was incredibly tasty. I’d definitely recommend giving this place a try—you won’t regret the experience!
