Usmania Restaurant at Devan Street 8 is a wonderful and high-quality spot for authentic Pakistani cuisine. The restaurant offers a delightful menu featuring flavorful dishes like BBQ, biryani, nihari, and traditional desserts, all served in a warm and culturally rich atmosphere. The cleanliness, service, and overall presentation are truly commendable. Towards the end of our visit, we had the pleasure of meeting Sultan Sahib, whose personality is incredibly entertaining and welcoming. He speaks to customers with great respect and kindness, reflecting the true spirit of Pakistani hospitality. The taste of the food was absolutely delicious, and Sultan Sahib truly upheld the high standards of our traditional hospitality.

We’ve been coming to this place for over 10 years, it used to be a favorite. Unfortunately, the quality has gone downhill significantly. Our recent visit was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had.

We spent over $700 today, and it was incredibly disappointing. The paya was watery and flavorless, and the chicken karahi had no garnishing, at best, it tasted like plain chicken shorba. Basic items like salad and raita didn’t arrive until we were already a quarter way into our meal, and we had to ask multiple times just to get the proper number of plates and utensils.

Sadly, after so many years of loyalty, we won’t be coming back. A place we once loved has completely lost its standard of food and service.

The food was absolutely amazing! We had the samosa, nihari, and matka biryani—each dish was full of rich, authentic flavors. As a special treat, Sultan (aka Salman Khan) graciously offered us gulab jamun, and it was to die for!

From the warm hospitality to the inviting atmosphere, everything exceeded our expectations. Thank you for a memorable experience—we’ll definitely be back!

Worst tasting food but Ambience is good. I had Buffet here no item is upto the mark and it is overpriced with $25/person. My request for others is not to make the same mistake as myself. Please try some other restaurant.

They didn’t label the items properly either, they just call it Haleem but it was made of Beef.

FYI: Haleem can also be made with Chicken or Goat.

Awesome restaurant. Very stylish decor. This is a place you can go to to experience India's cuisine at it's best. I ordered a Dahl dish and Samosas. Delicious. I can tell they strive to make dishes with authenticity and with high quality. The proof is in the Dahl.
